CBS said it did not receive any official human resources complaints about Rose, but Brittain's reporting found that several women told managers at the network that Rose behaved inappropriately toward them.
Rose was initially suspended from the network when the Washington Post first published the accounts of eight women who claimed they were sexually harassed or assaulted by the journalist.
The Post added that seven women sued CBS in '86 after claiming that Rose was "offensive and hostile" to female employees while co-anchoring the show Nightwatch.
In response to the new accusations, Rose wrote in an email to the newspaper, "Your story is unfair and inaccurate".
Annmarie Parr was a 22-year-old news clerk in 1986 when she handed Rose a script and he asked whether she enjoyed sex and how often she liked to have it. Perr said that when she told her manager, they laughed and told her she didn't have to be alone with him anymore. Later, she said, he grabbed her breast.
Rose's misconduct allegedly extended to his self-titled PBS show.
'CBS News has reported on extraordinary revelations at other media companies this year and last, ' said Rhodes. He began taking her to expensive restaurants and talked about other jobs.
Collins said that when she got back to NY, she reported Rose's behavior to Yvette Vega, the executive producer of his PBS show. Kadro disputed that she told him about inappropriate behaviour.
"This other personality would come through, and the groping would happen", Joana Matthias told The Post. I know that's not the politically correct thing to say at this moment, but I don't believe in abandoning friends when they're down. "People did what they wanted to you".
"It's pretty clear that there were people in management who were aware that there was a problem, and nothing was done", McManus told The Associated Press on Thursday. In another incident, former intern Corrina Collins said Rose squeezed her breast and invited her "to ride him" inside his hotel room when she was traveling with him for work in 2003.
Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, left, speaks with Rose during an event in New York City in September 2017. That said, we can not corroborate or confirm numerous situations described. Collins said that on the plane Rose insisted she drink wine.
In a statement, CBS News President David Rhodes said: "Since we terminated Charlie Rose, we've worked to strengthen existing systems to ensure a safe environment where everyone can do their best work".
After the allegations became public, the 76-year-old released a statement of apology for his actions. Rose's PBS show has been canceled, and he was sacked from CBS News. In 2003, a then-20-year-old intern was brought by Rose on a trip to California, where she alleged that he squeezed her breast while on a auto ride. We continue to look for ways to improve our workplace and this period of reflection and action has been important to all of us.
