Michael Cohen represented Sean Hannity

Sean Hannity Michael Cohen mystery client

Ted Lieu (D-CA) said in light of Michael Cohen's lawyer naming Fox News host Sean Hannity as Cohen's client today in court, both Hannity and Fox news should "apologize" to viewers for misleading them. Which raises the obvious question: "who did Sean Hannity have sex with?"

Trump's lawyers responded that it was "unreasonable" to expect federal prosecutors to protect the president's rights - thus disputing the Justice Department's position.

It's hard to tell if Sherman's just speculating about the P.I. angle or if there's more to it but Hannity emailed MSNBC after Sherman's appearance to deny that his consultations with Cohen had anything to do with that.

As you'd expect, this freaky turn of events did not go unnoticed by Stephen Colbert, and a sneak peek at Monday's "Late Show" monologue reveals him unable to hide his excitement.

Cohen has said he paid adult-film star Stormy Daniels $130,000 in late 2016 in exchange for her agreement not to discuss an alleged sexual encounter with Trump. The second was Republican fundraiser Elliott Broidy, and the third was a person whose identity Cohen refused to disclose until forced - it's Hannity.

Noah called out Hannity for being "unethical" for not divulging his relationship with Cohen.

"Even Instagram models have higher ethical standards", said Noah. "They'll be like 'drink tummy tea, by the way, I'm sponsored by tummy tea'".

Hannity had been fiercely critical of the special counsel, Robert Mueller, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation while describing the raid against Cohen during the April 9 broadcast of Hannity on Fox News.

"Not disclosing a business or legal relationship with someone you reported on. doesn't sound either fair or balanced", Cooper said.

Colbert really, really enjoyed himself.

The revelation came amid an extraordinary showdown between a sitting president and his own Justice Department over access to files seized in the raids on Cohen's home and office last week and over whether the materials are protected by attorney-client privilege.

Daniels sat with her lawyer, Michael Avenatti, who told reporters they were there to help ensure protection for the integrity of the seized documents, some of which they believe pertain to the Daniels agreement.

Mr Wood is also expected to hear from a lawyer representing the US President. Cohen has three clients. He reappeared slouching in an armchair, drinking a glass of red wine, rubbing his stomach, seemingly experiencing pure bliss. He loved the news so much that he joked that after the show he was going to head over to pal and former Daily Show host Jon Stewart's house so they could spoon in delight! He said it was odd to see his name appearing on the Fox News Channel and wondered aloud if he should release a statement. "You could have said that you had asked him for advice or whatever".

"Mr. Comey, I'm pregnant", Colbert quipped.

Hannity frequently traffics the "deep state" conspiracy theory on his show and on social media, and Internet hucksters quickly picked up the trail, producing a stream of baseless stories that spread, as usual, via disreputable web sites and social media trolls. Is it possible at this point to imagine Hannity being less than 10 out of 10 on the volume scale with respect to any political problem Trump has, whether he's personally caught up in it behind the scenes or not? "That sounds normal. He has a lawyer - he doesn't pay".

But that didn't stop Kimmel from reveling in the news Monday of Hannity's relationship with Cohen.

Fox News host Sean Hannity was criticized on his own show by legal expert Alan Dershowitz for not disclosing his ties to President Donald Trump's embattled lawyer, Michael Cohen.

In fairness to him, as I noted earlier, there does seem to be a scenario in which Hannity may have been honestly mistaken about whether he was a "client" of Cohen's or not.

In a series of tweets on Monday afternoon, Hannity downplayed his relationship with Cohen, saying he merely asked him some legal questions and "Cohen has never represented me in any matter".

"Not one of any issue I ever dealt with Michael Cohen on ever - ever - involved a matter between me and any third party", Hannity added.

Prosecutors say that material should be reviewed by a team of Justice Department lawyers independent from the investigation who could identify records that should remain confidential.

A federal judge Monday rejected a request to delay Manhattan prosecutors from examining records and electronic devices seized last week from President Donald Trump's personal attorney. "Go home 2018. You're drunk".
