Taylor Swift Gives Earth, Wind & Fire's Disco Classic 'September' a Country Twist

Taylor Swift

Instead of the opening line, "Do you remember the 21st night of September", Swift flipped the date, singing, "the 28th night of September".

If you're at a wedding, and the DJ or band at the reception didn't play Earth, Wind & Fire's "September", was it even a real wedding? But Black Twitter wants the song to be destroy from existence.

Pop star Taylor Swift is getting eviscerated for her cover of "September", which turned Earth, Wind & Fire's funky classic into a slowed-down, country version of the original. Every step forward toward that other person scares us, but it thrills us too. The singer is also set to appear on Sugarland's upcoming album, Bigger, as she's featured as a vocalist on "Babe", a song she wrote years earlier with Pat Monahan of Train. "Delicate" is about the balancing act of the rush and the fear and hoping it's really worth it to take that chance". Unfortunately, Taylor Swift chose to cover the song and fans are NOT loving it at all.

Swift will be in Chicago, Louisville, Washington D.C., Philadelphia, Nashville, and Pittsburgh, among others before heading south to Atlanta, Tampa, Miami and then concluding in the heartland with Kansas City, Indianapolis, and multiple stops in Texas.
