Richie Incognito is a mess and finished with National Football League (probably)

Former Husker Richie Incognito says he’s ‘done’ in NFL reportedly dealing with medical issues

Shortly after telling The MMQB he's contemplating retirement, the 34-year-old took the pronouncement a step further.

Of course, this could all be some kind of ploy from Incognito to get more money, either from the Bills or another team, as King's tweet alluded. "It's been a long career", Incognito said, according to Carucci.

Last Thursday, Incognito apparently fired his agents via tweet, writing to the account of Athletes First, "You are Fired!" "Went to the doctor - my liver and kidneys are shutting down".

Incognito was suspended midway through the 2013 season and never played a down for the Dolphins again.

The Bills guard told Buffalo News writer Vic Carucci that he is retiring from the sport because the stress is "killing him".

Bills running back LeSean McCoy said on Instagram he would give Incognito $300,000 to reconsider his decision to retire.

Incognito is also the subject of an National Football League investigation after Jacksonville defensive end Yannick Ngakoue accused the Bills player of making racist slurs during the Jaguars' 10-3 win over Buffalo in an AFC wild-card playoff game in January. Incognito said he approached Ngakoue at the Pro Bowl and apologized. "I just want to be in the Hall of Fame".

If this is indeed it for Incognito, it has been an odd 11-year career. The NFL investigated and found out Incognito along with former Dolphins Mike Pouncey and John Jerry did, in fact, bully tackle Jonathan Martin. Plus, it appears that Incognito's body is kind of falling apart after 12 seasons in the NFL.

Incognito would be the third starter from last year's offensive line to depart Buffalo this offseason. Longtime center Eric Wood retired for medical reasons, so they'd be without two members of a formidable interior group.
