Judge sets Conor McGregor's at $50K after UFC bus attack

Conor Mc Gregor of Ireland makes a fist during a news conference in Las Vegas

Cowley, a member of McGregor's entourage, was charged with assault and criminal mischief, police said.

McGregor, 29, and his friend Cian Cowley, 25, turned themselves in to the NYPD's 78th Precinct in Park Slope on Thursday night.

Ultimate fighting star Conor McGregor is facing criminal charges after a backstage melee that forced the removal of three fights from UFC's biggest card of the year.

White told ESPN that McGregor, who showed up to the media event unexpectedly, was retaliating for an incident earlier in the week between lightweight Khabib Nurmagomedov and McGregor's teammate Artem Lobov. His lawyer could not immediately be reached for comment on Friday evening. Both are due back in court June 14.

"This is the most disgusting thing that has ever happened in the history of the company", White told MMAjunkie.

"No.no", White said on ESPN's Get Up! on Friday morning when asked if he would help McGregor. He surrendered to police Thursday night after attacking a bus hauling UFC fighters in NY, according to TMZ. I think everybody is going to be pretty disgusted with Conor McGregor right now. It was justified to him.

Flyweight Ray Borg, who was scheduled to face Brandon Moreno, is also unfit to fight due to multiple corneal abrasions, according to the UFC.

Police were told that McGregor and roughly 10 other people "became irate and began throwing various items, damaging property at the location", according to police spokesperson George Tsourovakas.

The UFC said in a statement that the incident was "completely unacceptable" and the organisation is working to determine consequences for those involved.

Video footage of the fracas shows objects being thrown at the van, and a number of people were injured by glass fragments as windows were smashed.

As always, Conor McGregor's situation is protean, so stay tuned for updates as they emerge.

The group went down to the loading dock where some fighters who were to participate in UFC 223 on Saturday were getting on buses.

McGregor last fought at all in a boxing match he lost to Floyd Mayweather Jr. on August 26, 2017. His outburst was an apparent response to the UFC chief's public confirmation Wednesday that the upcoming bout between Nurmagomedov and Max Holloway would crown a new UFC lightweight champion. Lobov was also yanked from the UFC 223 card.

Friday, the sports world was rocked by the arrest of noted UFC champ and all-round outspoken fighter Conor McGregor.
