Act like Muhammad Ali, Obisia tells Anthony Joshua, Deontay Wilder

AJ takes on New Zealand's WBO champion Joseph Parker in Cardiff on Saturday night

Deontay Wilder, has picked up the gauntlet to fight Britain's Anthony Joshua in a bout to determine the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world in the United Kingdom.

"2018 was always a time to capture all the belts", said Joshua, flanked by promoter Eddie Hearn and trainer Rob McCracken. There's no other heavyweight in the world about whom a plausible case can be made to beat Anthony Joshua and vice versa. With the IBF mandatory position yet to be filled, a bout with Alexander Povetkin is highly likely for 2018 due to his mandatory status within the WBA and number one rating within the WBO also.

"As a heavyweight boxer, you should be able to fight anywhere in the world", Obisia said. Then things stalled. "That was in November, we were told they would get back with a P and L [statement], with the numbers, but we never heard back from them again", added Finkel.

"I still think in the long-term, when Anthony sits down and thinks it through he makes up a decision that to become a truly global sports star perhaps he needs to go to America. I don't know what to believe". Joshua took no damage on Saturday night and will be ready for his next challenge.

"That fight, in terms of ability, is getting closer and closer because Joshua is learning and improving all the time".

Joshua didn't impress against Joseph Parker.

"You also said on Saturday that your team is ready to meet with (Wilder co-managers) Shelly Finkel and Al Haymon from my side to get this deal done", Wilder said.

It was far from a landslide victory as Joshua utilised his superior reach to assert his dominance from behind his jab, and Parker can head back to his homeland New Zealand with his head held high having gone 12 rounds with the division's most dominant force. "There is nothing to stop it going ahead". It is the fight which the world wants to see outside of an all British clash between Joshua & Tyson Fury, that particular fight could very well be the most lucrative all British contest and one of the most lucrative in global boxing. Firstly I wouldn't rule out a rematch between him and Joshua.

"I spoke to Eddie Hearn yesterday and he said he would be more than happy to help out with opportunities". "I am the baddest man in the world, the baddest man on the planet, and that's fact".
