Two criminals involved in abduction case shot at, arrested later

Birmingham Police Officer arrested faces multiple charges

At one of the stores that was robbed, the suspect demanded "Scratchers" despite a clerk doing a cash count nearby, he said.

Manley didn't explain what prompted officers to shoot the man.

Police arrested Brent Hall, 24, of Cut Bank, around midnight Monday at St. James Healthcare, 400 S. Clark St., for misdemeanor assault and misdemeanor criminal mischief.

On searching the suspects' auto, the police found an undisclosed amount of cash, cigarettes, cell phones, groceries and a knife, which was allegedly used in an earlier business robbery. According to the department, when officers arrived, they encountered 41-year-old Juan Carlos Romero who was armed with a handgun.

A 39-year-old man faces almost two dozen charges after a police chase late Sunday night.

Police spokeswoman Susan Danielsen said the officer's name will be released today.

Police say her death is the city's seventh homicide this year.

Additional trooper units "responded to assist the injured Trooper and apprehend Yakunin", but, upon their arrival, Yakunin continued to be assaultive, the trooper dispatch reported.

The Trooper (s) involved that fired their service weapon will be placed on mandatory 72-hour administrative leave. Police followed the auto into the parking lot of the Battleground Village shopping center, where two men inside the vehicle tried to flee.

The Canyon County Sheriff Kiernan Donahue says the victim and suspect knew each other, and the incident was the result of a domestic disturbance. "Pop, pop, he went down and it looked like he got shot in the shoulder, but from the shot, he banged his head".

Police received a second 911 call but said they were temporarily withholding it from the public because the contents would jeopardize the immediate investigation.
