Stranger Things has been a runaway success for Netflix, the first homegrown series produced by the streaming platform to hit it out of the park.
The stars of the hit Netflix sci-fi drama, majority young teens, have scored major pay raises for the upcoming third season of the show.
Production of the third season is set to begin April 23.
According to sources, the main actors are divided into different pay tiers.
Reports suggest that Winona Ryder and David Harbour will make $350,000 per episode, a raise from $80,000 for him and $100,000 for her.
Though, there is one actress whose salary remains a mystery to all - that of break-out star Millie Bobby Brown. I hear their per-episode fee will go up to more than $200,000 an episodes and possibly around $250,000.
Gaten Matarazzo (Dustin Henderson), and Finn Wolfhard (Mike Wheeler) have all snagged huge increases in their paydays for the new season of Stranger Things.
Cast shake-ups are also in the horizon for the upcoming season.
Apparently the stars you see grace your small screen have been broken down into three groups for the latest bump that, no matter what group they landed in, have them flush with cash. Priah Ferguson, who played Lucas' younger sister Erica in several memorable scenes in Stranger Things 2, has been upped to recurring guest status, according to TV Line.
"We are leaning into it", Matt Duffer told Indie Wire.
The series which was created by brothers Matt and Ross Duffer earned 18 nominations at the Emmys a year ago and is believed to be one of the most watched shows in Netflix history. The cable network also recently inked new deals with the stars of Big Little Lies when it chose to bring the limited series back for a second season.
The creators of the show have admitted the new season will include a time jump, as the younger actors get older and start to visibly age from their adolescents.
No, the company's recent surge isn't entirely due to Stranger Things, but as the streamer's most buzzed-about broad appeal hit, you can be confident that it played a significant role.
