Rangers eye Old Firm glory after Scottish wilderness years

For me it's a must win game for Rangers as a Celtic win ends any doubt about where the league title is going to go.

"The people on the pitch had more than enough experience and opportunity to go and win that and we've managed to throw it away", Murty told Rangers TV.

"I thought his performance showed his nerve, his calmness and his agility, particularly when he makes the save and gets up again for the second one when it comes off the post".

What do you make of Dembele's comments?

"We gave him an idea last night that he would be playing but it was only officially this morning that we said, 'Listen, your first game for Celtic is at Ibrox".

In a classic Old Firm encounter Josh Windass's third minute opener for the home side was cancelled out by Parkhead midfielder Tom Rogic and after Daniel Candeias restored the Light Blues' lead Celtic striker Moussa Dembele equalised just before the break.

Former youth coach Graeme Murty's appointment as manager until the end of the season has brought some much-needed stability and confidence to a Rangers side that had failed to win three consecutive games under previous incumbent Pedro Caixinha. If turns to be and says I'm good then he's good.

Simunovic's dismissal in the 57th minute appeared to give Rangers the advantage, yet it was the visitors who scored the all-important fifth goal thanks to an inspired change.

"He's agile, he's quick, he's got that calmness with the ball and I thought he was very good with Dundee".

"This is the game, certainly since I've been at the football club, that there has been most interest in from south of the border", he said. I knew Dorus might be struggling so I had plenty time to get myself right and focused on the game.

"I don't think Celtic, or ourselves, will need any motivation to be fired up", he said.

"They've made strides but this game is really important".

"We will improve from this".

"We have top quality players, they are unbelievable". This is another opportunity, to come together as a squad, which they're enjoying at the moment and seeing how far they've come. Handling that pressure is something we have done historically really well at this football club.
