Fortnite Battle Royale officially coming to iOS and Android

BlackBerry Productivity Tab with widget integration update now available!

Epic Games looks to have signed an exclusive agreement on that front with Sony.

In the announcement, Epic Games explained that the mobile version of the game will be identical to the console and PC version: "same gameplay, same map, same content, same weekly updates".

An Invite Event will go live on Monday, allowing iOS users to try to get into the first early waves of the game's player base. Unfortunately, the event is only available on iOS, with Android support heading "in the next few months".

Additionally, all those devices will be able to cross-play Fortnite together.

However, if you would have told me before yesterday Fortnite: Battle Royale would be coming to mobile devices I would have called you a liar and not believed you.

Fortnite and its Battle Royale version are one of those overnight success stories that nearly catches everyone by surprise.

Additionally, Cross Progression will feature across all platforms, meaning you'll have one Fortnite account which can be accessed across PC, Mac, PS4 and iOS. After registering on the game's official website, a user would get an email including the download link for the game. No such luck for XBox One, but that's likely something to do with the business dealings between the console owners. With Microsoft now being the only console to house PUBG - we could be on the cusp of a Battle Royale, err, console exclusivity battle. Android support will be added "in the next few months" as well. "Console quality graphics and action", said Epic Games.

You need to land on seven different bullseyes in total, and since you need to do so from the Battle Bus, requires you play at least seven matches to complete the challenge. Alas, Fortnite is going mobile. Fortnite Battle Royale team has managed to convince to support Sony to accept the offer. You'd have to imagine that console/PC players would have an advantage. So, it was logical to come up with games like Fortnite Mobile.
