All three units feature 18:9 FullView displays, fingerprint sensors and facial recognition tech with Face Key.
For those who don't know Alcatel, it's a company known for releasing very cheap but passable smartphones, but in recent years, it's been trying to make them more appealing.
Alcatel has kicked off MWC 2018 with a handful of new devices sporting a slim 18:9 aspect ratio. A 3000 mAh battery is there in the phone that comes with Face Unlock feature.
Alcatel 3X has a 5.7-inch HD+ (1440X720 pixels) IPS display with 18:9 aspect ratio and the same processor as the Alcatel 3. Under the hood is the 1.5GHz MediaTek MTK6750 octa-core processor coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.
The devices comes in a few variants, with a choice between 1GB or 2GB RAM, single or dual-SIM, 8MP or 13MP camera, and even the choice between whether or not you want Google Assistant or a fingerprint sensor.
The 3V (available now) features a standout 2K (2160×1080) display measuring at six inches. The Alcatel 3 will be available starting March at a price of 149.99 euros (approximately Rs 11,900). With EUR 150 price tag, the device offers 2GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable storage. While the Alcatel 3X comes powered by the same MediaTek MT6739 as seen on the Alcatel 3, this device still runs on older Android Nougat. As for the tablets, Alcatel has launched its 1T 10 and Alcatel 1T 7 tablets, both powered by Android 8.1 Oreo. It also includes Google Assistant for Android Go. It will be available in Metallic Black, Metallic Blue, and Metallic Gold color options.
The Alcatel 3V will be the mid-range phone in the new lineup, featuring a 6-inch 1080p display, a quad core processor, 16GB to 32GB of expandable storage, and a dual rear camera setup with a main 12MP lens along with a secondary 2MP lens for depth information.
Theres also an Alcatel 1C that picks up a metal finish and only ships with 3G radios. Besides, the phone offers a 12MP camera with f/2.2, 1.25 µm pixel size and dual-tome LED flash. Other features include a 3,000mAh battery, fingerprint reader, and Android Oreo. I wouldn't count on that happening since they already command a large share of the market and have things going their way for them to be bothered by geek obsessions like near-stock Android and guaranteed updates but one is allowed to dream, right?
The Alcatel 1X is the world's first smartphone to run on Android Oreo Go Edition. The Alcatel 1X with single SIM and dual SIM support will be available in April for Euro 100 and Euro 110 respectively. Inside there's a quad-core MediaTek MT8735A processor, 2GB of RAM, 16/32GB of storage, and a microSD card slot. It is backed by a 2460mAh battery that is rated to give up to 26 hours of talk time.
