PGA golfer Bill Haas injured in auto crash near Riviera, authorities say

Bill's manager, Alan Hobbs, released the following statement on the morning of February 14: "Last night in Pacific Palisades, California, Bill Haas was involved in a serious auto accident in which the driver - a member of the family with whom Haas and his family were staying for the Genesis Open - was killed".

Los Angeles County fire officials told Los Angeles TV station KTLA that the driver of the Ferrari in which Haas was a passenger was pronounced dead at the scene.

"Last night in Pacific Palisades, California, Bill Haas was involved in a serious vehicle accident in which the driver - a member of the family with whom Haas and his family were staying for the Genesis Open - was killed", Haas' agent Allen Hobbs said in a statement.

Police said Haas - who was in the area for the Genesis Open at the Riviera Country Club - is "doing OK".

Two people, including Haas were injured in the crash, according to Los Angeles-based KTLA.

Luke Wilson is best known for his roes in Legally Blonde, The Royal Tenenbaums and Anchorman.

A vehicle that the LAPD said belonged to Luke - who previously appeared in Legally Blonde alongside Reese Witherspoon - was hit by a Ferrari.

The six-time PGA Tour winner's father, Jay, told the Golf Channel on Wednesday that his son is expected to make a full recovery.

Haas was a passenger in a Ferrari that struck a Toyota SUV driven by actor Luke Wilson, according to Fischer.

CNN attempted to reach a representative for Wilson but has not yet gotten a response.

Hobbs said the man was a member of the family with whom Haas and his family were staying for the Genesis Open.
