For those that wanted to see a shakeup in the National Basketball Association, the final hours before the trade deadline didn't disappoint.

The big one was a three-team trade that saw Cleveland acquire George Hill and Rodney Hood.

Derrick Rose will never see the floor as a member of the Utah Jazz.

As for Hood, he's averaging 16.8 points per game for the Jazz and has proven to be a consistent scorer off the bench. But word quickly spread that the Jazz would waive the NBA's 2011 MVP.

Utah's offense isn't likely to skip a beat amid Hood's departure. The Jazz, having won eight of their last 10, are 26-28 on the season which is 10th in the Western Conference. Additionally, the Cavs receive an enormous amount of outside shooting with Hood. "A lot of players in and out, but I think finally I got it to click and I'm feeling good".

ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski first reported the trades. Cleveland might be able to bring out his best and his skill set matches LeBron James perfectly. The 6-3 guard from IUPUI was the 26th overall pick by the Spurs in the 2008 NBA Draft. "He's really versatile defensively".

Rose almost went to the Wolves in a trade involving Ricky Rubio last season at the deadline, but that trade fell apart last minute.

The Hornets (23-31) will stick with what they have as they play their seventh road game in two weeks. He puts up 2.8 assists and 2.7 rebounds per game and is committing 1.4 turnovers per contest. Getting a solid rotation player who can fill the 3/4 role in Crowder is an upgrade for this year. Over his nine-year National Basketball Association career, the 29-year-old Chicago native has averaged 19.2 points, 5.8 assists and 3.6 rebounds in 34.2 minutes through 486 games (476 starts) with the Bulls, Knicks and Cavaliers. Walker scored at least 30 points in four of those contests. The Timberwolves are a likely landing spot for Rose should that happen, according to The New York Times' Marc Stein.
