The Cloverfield Paradox Launches on Netflix Following Trailer Unveiling

Surprise A New Cloverfield Movie Is Coming To Netflix Tonight Shannon Grixti

Cloverfield Paradox sat at 18 percent on Rotten Tomatoes as of Monday evening.

"A trainwreck of a sci-fi flick bent on extending a franchise that should have died a peaceful death nearly exactly one decade ago, Julius Onah's The Cloverfield Paradox follows the lead of the far-superior 10 Cloverfield Lane in imagining a Cloverfield spinoff whose genre ingredients have little to do with the original found-footage, giant-monster flick".

It would appear, however, that J.J. Abrams - whose "Bad Dog" production company has been closely involved in the making of all three Cloverfield films - has far grander, and one would also argue more misguided plans for this growing franchise, which brings us neatly on to The Cloverfield Paradox. As it stands right now, the reviews have been largely negative from critics, with many applauding Netflix's marketing but calling the film itself the weakest in the series.

The audience reviews on RT, however, were more kind, giving the film a modestly okay 63 percent score.

Super Bowl LII's thrilling finish wasn't the only surprise of Sunday night, as Netflix enticed millions of football fans by dropping a preview for a new movie that debuted on the streaming site immediately after the Philadelphia Eagles finished off their win over the New England Patriots.

One of the more enjoyable elements of the Cloverfield franchise was unraveling the many mysteries each film has presented viewers, leading many to hypothesize how all the films tie together.

The Cloverfield movie series has been pretty popular with both fans and critics.

As of time of writing, there are only 39 reviews counted so far. "A tense, sometimes fun mashup of classic sci-fi, but often overwhelmed by absurdity and chaos".

Doctor Strange writer C. Robert Cargill revealed on his Twitter account this evening that he considered working on The Cloverfield Paradox years ago with his Doctor Strange director Scott Derrickson.

You saw the trailer last night during the Super Bowl and you probably thought that it was headed to theaters when in reality it had just hit Netflix. A fourth movie could still happen with people unsatisfied with this latest entry.

A potential way out takes us to space, where the crew tries to use an experimental particle accelerator that could create a new source of energy. As we venture into the depths of the Cloverfield space station by way of cinematographer Dan Mindel's sleek photography, you can't help but imagine how the movie might've looked on the big screen.
