Nicole Eggert Opens Up About Scott Baio Sexual Abuse Claims

Scott Baio's Wife Renee Fires Back at Nicole Eggert's Molestation Claims

It's important to note that Eggert, who briefly dated Baio in the 1980s, acknowledges she was a "willing participant" in the abuse; but she also stresses there was a lot of "manipulation" coming from her alleged abuser, again - a man 11 years her senior.

Eggert has maintained that Baio had sexual relations with her when she was underage, detailing events that reportedly took place between the pair starting when she was 14. Eggert claimed Baio initiated that sexual encounter adding "he did not treat me well on set after it happened".

"I had never experienced anything like that before either". Sloan tweeted that her husband's legal team has already served Eggert with two cease-and-desist letters.

In statements before Eggert's interview aired, Baio said he and Eggert had a consensual relationship when she was over 18 years old. It wasn't a hold me down, rape me kind of situation, no, not at all. I apologized for pushing her too hard and should have been more sympathetic (but I wanted to break the story of them having sex) ...

The actor's appearance on ABC's "Good Morning America" will come one day after Eggert went on "Megyn Kelly Today" Tuesday to say that the alleged abuse started when she was 14. "I wasn't ready to tell my story, for me it was always protecting the show and protecting that whole legacy", she reasons.

She then told Kelly that she and Baio had sex in her home when she was 17 and Charles in Charge was still being filmed. "You know, that was my delusion, and that was my cover up always".

Eggert has stayed mostly quiet after deleting her weekend tweets that outlined Baio's alleged behavior.

As for Baio, he posted a 16-minute Facebook Live video denying the claims. Why is she unwilling to go to law enforcement with her claims? "But I was 17".

"Nicole was distraught after the interview and off air she as an emotional wreck", he explained.

"She said, 'he molested me as a child and I didn't know any better, '" Richie wrote.

"More than ten times; more like, probably, once a week".

Additionally, Kelly pointed to a tweet from Adam Carl, who worked on the set of Charles in Charge, that said he remembers being with Eggert while she cried about Baio on set. Nicole claimed that Scott, someone she said she believed was her friend and someone she could trust, allegedly penetrated her with his fingers on the set of the show just shortly before her 15th birthday.

During a 2013 interview, Eggert said that she lost her virginity to Baio, but claimed they started hooking up when she was 16 - saying there was flirting and messing around - but the sex didn't happen until she was 17.

After playing the clip, Baio said: "So you heard it was way after Charles in Charge was done".
