Billionaire casino owner and collector Steve Wynn accused of pervasive sexual misconduct

RNC finance chair accused of decades of sexual misconduct report

Edwin Stone, who directs the institute, said Wynn's gift - which was the sixth largest in UI history at the time - has "allowed us to increase our efforts on gene therapy and stem cells grown from a patient's skin cells", among other things.

One former massage therapist claims Wynn pressured her into giving him months of happy endings several years ago - and then tried to escalate to oral sex.

This wasn't the only incident of sexual misconduct by Wynn, sources told the Journal.

"Some of these kinds of rumors or allegations have been out there before", Ralston said, referencing the Nevada Independent columnist John L. Smith who wrote a book that alluded to "some of this stuff". The Journal said none of the victims approached the newspaper, and many of them feared that speaking publicly would hurt their career.

In its reporting, the Wall Street Journal stated that none of the alleged victims reached out to the publication. Wynn owns about 12 percent of the company.

The abuse was apparently well-known among Wynn's employees - to the point that some took steps to protect one another. They said his behavior was part of a "decades-long pattern of sexual misconduct" in which he "pressured employees to perform sex acts". Some female employees reportedly hid in the bathrooms or back rooms when they heard Wynn was on his way.

Wynn said in a written statement to the Journal that "the idea that I ever assaulted any woman is preposterous". "It is deplorable for anyone to find themselves in this situation", Wynn's statement said.

"I certainly wouldn't want him to be chair of my party", she added.

Wynn built and later sold the Mirage, Treasure Island, and Bellagio resorts in Las Vegas.

But the two seem to have made up.

Sexual assault allegations have forced management turnover in a number of companies, including, Inc. Maddox also serves as a non-executive director of Wynn Macau, a company subsidiary that operates a luxury casino and hotel in China.

According to campaign finance records, Wynn also donated to Greg Gianforte, the Republican congressman who assaulted Guardian reporter Ben Jacobs on the eve of the Montana special election.

In 2016, Trump called Wynn "a great friend". "Nor did Sean Spicer, the president's former press secretary and the committee's former top strategist, who was particularly aggressive in criticizing Democrats after the Weinstein revelations".
