Reliance Jio Republic Day 2018 Offer

Reliance Jio Republic Day offer

The stocks of Bharti Airtel and Idea Cellular were down around 4% in early trade on Wednesday after Reliance Jio indicated that it would cut tariffs by about 25% as part of a new Republic Day offer. Jio Rs 349 plan, on the other hand, provides 1GB daily data but for a longer validity of 70 days.

Industry sources said the flagship Rs 399 plan will now provide free voice, unlimited data of 1.5 GB daily, unlimited SMS (short message service) and premium subscription to Jio Apps for 84 days. There is no daily limit for the 98-rupee plan. If you recall, Airtel Rs 199 previously offered 1GB data per day, resulting in 40% jump overnight.

Jio's Prepaid Recharge Plan priced at Rs 449Jio's prepaid recharge plan priced at Rs 449 will offer 136GBs of 4G high speed data for a period of 91 days with a daily cap of 1.5GB daily data. Now Jio has announced yet another offer ahead of Republic Day.

Unlike Jio, which clocked in a strong ARPU of Rs 154 in the December quarter, Airtel and Idea's fell to Rs 123 and Rs 114, respectively, stung by the cut in interconnection usage charges (IUC), which compounded pressures on their voice and data businesses amid continuing price wars. All these users will be getting 33% extra data per day.

Rs 149 plan: will give clients 1.5GB daily data for 28 days, which implies 42GB altogether. In comparison, Airtel's plan offers 1GB daily 3G/4G data, with validity of 28 days. The Airtel's 509 prepaid plan is valid for 90 days and comes with 1.4GB of data per day. The catch is that this Airtel plan is limited only to some circles.

Rs 509: The plan revision was also applied here, post which users get 1GB data per day for 91 days instead of 84 days.

Rs 198 and Rs 398 prepaid packs: have been redone to offer a sum of 56GB amd 140GB data individually.

Then, the fledgling operator had brought down the prices of its 459-rupee plan, with a validity of 84 days and a daily data limit of 1 GB, to 399 rupees. But with Republic Day offer, users will get 500MB extra every day for the entire duration of the plan's validity at no extra cost. Rest of the benefits are same to all unlimited plans of Airtel. With this plan all prepaid users also get 100 free SMS per day.
