The 13-year veteran defenseman will be making his second All-Star appearance, his first since 2011, when he played for the Washington Capitals. This season, the 6-foot-1, 200-pound forward has posted 43 points (17 goals, 26 assists) and a plus-19 rating through 45 games. The teams also feature three defensemen and two goalies. Those 30 points are tied for sixth in the league among defensemen, and he is second in even-strength points (22).

Couture was also a candidate to be selected for the game as he leads the Sharks with 16 goals.

Andrei Vasilevskiy was picked for his first career All-Star Game and becomes the third Lightning goaltender in franchise history to earn the distinction, joining Nikolai Khabibulin (2002, 2003) and Ben Bishop (2016).

Green will serve as a defender on the Atlantic Division's All-Star Team.

Jon Cooper will coach in the All-Star Game for the first time in his career. Eichel is by far the Sabres most impactful player and is as much of a household name as anyone who has donned the blue and gold in recent memory. Joe Thornton and Patrick Marleau were named three times each.

Forward Vladimir Tarasenko represented St. Louis in the previous three All-Star competitions and was the only Blues player a year ago and in the 2015-16 season.

With his dynamic playing style and lengthy beard, Burns has established himself as one of the most recognizable players in the National Hockey League.
