Bhuvneshwar Kumar reveals why bowling will be tough in South Africa

With different bowling conditions at play, the management and coaching staff have a lot of work to do concerning their bowling ammunition due to the presence of bouncy wickets.

"Yesterday, we did two sessions to get into the Test mode".

The Indian seamers focused on bowling multiple long spells as Bhuvneshwar Kumar had said that the "Kookaburra" is the toughest ball to bowl with as it does not provide too much assistance to a bowler after 25-30 overs. We know there is a chance to win a series in South Africa but to be able to do that we know we have to give our best. May be a couple of days before the first Test, we will see how to strategize according to the batsman.

"We haven't talked so far. So for us, it's going to be if we have enough petrol in the tank to knock India over at the back end of the day", he added. "Yes, we can pick up few a things from each other. These are the things we will definitely do, but for now we are trying to do the basic things", he said. "We have done well in the last two years and we are confident of doing well in these conditions". After that, the two teams will play a six-match ODI and three-game T20I series in February.

In a video, uploaded on Twitter by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), the Test debutant spoke about his transition from white ball to red ball, meanwhile also speaking about India's first practice session. India is yet to claim a single Test series in the "Rainbow Nation" for the past 25 years, however, Captain Kohli believes that his team will break the taboo this year.

Team India is now stationed in South Africa for the upcoming series starting January 5 in Cape Town.
