Terrorists storm CRPF camp in J&K's Pulwama jawan killed

Tantray, the 47-year-old JeM divisional terrorist was a four feet two inches tall militant, who also walked with a limp and had become a major headache for the security forces in the valley. The terrorists stormed the 185th battalion camp of the CRPF in Lethpora village in Kashmir valley around 2am. Two heavily armed JeM terrorists attacked the camp at about 2 am, said Inspector General of CRPF Ravideep Sahi. The terror group Jaish-e-Mohammed has taken responsibility of the Fidayeen attack, which was carried to avenge the killing of their commander Noor Trali. The terrorists opened fire and launched grenade in the camp.

The sources said main building consist of three blocks, four floor each, block one is used for officer's family accommodation, second block is for main office and block three has been targeted by militants.

One of deceased was identified as constable Saif-ud-din Ganai of Nowgam in Srinagar.

As exchange of fire continued following the infiltration, militants were holed up in a building block at the camp - where they were later gunned down. He claimed a number of security force personnel were killed or injured.

In a statement to the local media, it, said the "blood of martyrs is yielding results". "Such attacks will continue till the last Indian soldier leaves Kashmir", it said.
