Matt Prater evened the score with a 28-yard field goal, set up by a 56-yard pass from Stafford to Jones. The reception pushed Tate over 1,000 yards for the second consecutive season.

Minnesota's Adam Thielen had eight receptions for 89 yards and Everson Griffen had two sacks, tying his career high with 12. Jones had six catches for 109 yards and two TDs.

Stafford, who completed three passes of over 50 yards, went 20 of 29 through the air for 323 yards. The Lions were held to a total of 53 yards rushing.

Lions: Stafford, with a lot of tape covering his right cleat, stayed in the game after hurting his right ankle on his second touchdown when DT Tom Johnson fell on him.
