Injuries, suspensions and line-up vs Crystal Palace

Prediction: Crystal Palace vs Arsenal

This year, Arsenal have only managed to secure two wins on the road this season, this is also the Gunners joint-fewest tally after the opening nine games of the year.

The Eagles faced relegation rivals Swansea City before Christmas and welcome record breaking table-toppers Manchester City to Selhurst Park on New Year's Eve, but are now on a run of eight games unbeaten - a stark contrast to their early season form.

Arsene Wenger's team are now sixth in the table, three points behind Tottenham and four away from Liverpool in fourth spot.

Arsene Wenger has made three changes to Arsenal's starting XI in his record-equalling 810th game in charge of a Premier League fixture.

Arsenal were booed off at Selhurst Park last season as they lost 3-0 and saw their European aspirations dissipate amidst away supporters singing 'You're not fit to wear the shirt'.

Wenger is likely to stick with the bulk of the team that drew against Liverpool last week, with Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Laurent Koscielny, Shkodran Mustafi and Hector Bellerin expected to make up the defence.

Having recorded four draws and three losses in their opening seven games, the odds were very much stacked against Palace taking anything from their trip to Highbury to face Arsenal, with the Gunners boasting the likes of David Seaman and former Eagle Ian Wright amongst their ranks.

Hodgson will be further boosted by the return of striker Christian Benteke, who served his one-match suspension last time out against Swansea.

The Gunners will, however, be without Aaron Ramsey who is recovering from a hamstring injury.

Ozil's goal against Liverpool displayed his unerring ability to ghost from nearly a statuesque start into a one on one position, a trait which can very easily throw off a man marker; the Eagles' number four needs to concentrate from the first whistle to the last.

After losing their first three home league games of the season without scoring, Crystal Palace are unbeaten in their last six at Selhurst Park (W3 D3 L0) and have scored exactly two goals in each game.

Wenger's side have lost just won of their last eight matches (W4, D3).

Arsene Wenger has remained coy when asked about Alexis Sanchez's future.
