Meet Aiden, Overkill's The Walking Dead first playable character

Overkill's The Walking Dead is a four player co-op shooter where you fight zombies and other humans

As you can see from the picture above, there will be four playable characters available in the cooperative first-person shooter, and while we don't know too much about the other three characters, they look hardened and ready for battle.

Developer Overkill is ready to show a little more of their game, Overkill's The Walking Dead, although all that's appeared so far is a trailer for a character called Aiden. Check it out, below. That's an interesting choice. This Aidan guy seems like he's got some serious badass credentials. Meet Aidan in the trailer below.

Today Overkill (Payday series), a Starbreeze studio in partnership with Skybound Entertainment and 505 Games look to fix that trend with 'Overkill's The Walking Dead' game. It will be a four player co-op FPS set in a post-apocalyptic Washington which you and friends will stomp zombies and humans alike as you strengthen a base camp.

It's playable as a four-player co-op FPS and there will be skill trees, squad roles, missions and raids. The game will support different play styles, so you can choose to silently take out enemies, or charge in guns blazing.

Featuring up-close melee combat, stealth, and, of course, the option to go gung-ho, you'll need to improvise to stay alive against an onslaught of walkers when Overkill's The Walking Dead is "expected" to launch for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC in autumn 2018.

Overkill's The Walking Dead was first announced in August 2014 with a 2016 release date. Does this game sound promising, or will it be dead on arrival?
