White House faces questions about Trump's health after slurred words

Trump to receive routine medical exam next year, White House says

During a Wednesday speech regarding Jerusalem, President Donald Trump raised some eyebrows regarding not only what he said, but how he said it.

President Donald Trump was back to business in the White House on Thursday, despite the shockwaves over his Jerusalem announcement.

There was clearly something off about the way in which Trump spoke at the event, and while I'm not going to speculate about what have been the cause for the president's slurred speech, his apparent difficulties did not go unnoticed.

But theories were rampant on social media that the president had suffered some type of mini stroke or other medical episode after it sounded like he ended his speech on Wednesday with "and God bless the United Shtesh".

"The president's throat was dry".

But that only fueled additional conversation about the subject.

"There were a lot of questions on that, frankly pretty ridiculous questions", Sanders said.

During a press conference on Thursday, Sanders stated Trump will see a doctor at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in "the first part of next year", and the results will be released to the public, according to the New York Daily News.

Trump has frequently touted his health throughout his campaign and presidency, and producing a letter signed by his personal physician of 35 years to prove his point.

Trump has frequently touted his oral health in the past. It was the second time in a month that Trump appeared to get a dry mouth in public, after he reached for a water bottle in the middle of remarks in November.
