Mother's boyfriend is arrested in connection to disappearance of 3-year-old Mariah Woods and police believe she is dead

Newly released warrants from the Onslow County Sheriff's Office indicate that Kimery 'allegedly knowingly concealed the unnatural death of Mariah Woods, and secretly hid the child's body'.

Authorities said they have not yet located Mariah's body, and the missing persons search that included Federal Bureau of Investigation agents and K-9 units will now shift to a recovery effort.

Kimrey removed the girl's body from the place where she died and knew her death was not natural, according to arrest warrants.

Kimrey is being held on a more than one million dollar bond. The search for Mariah entered a fifth day Friday.

"Due to evidence gathered during the course of the investigation, it is believed that Mariah is deceased", the sheriff's office said.

"We all hoped and prayed to find her alive".

Her mother told investigators she last saw Mariah Sunday, and Kimrey saw her later that night.

She claimed he saw her at 1am and told her to go back to bed.

"Nobody heard anything? Four people in the house, two adults and two kids someone just comes up and snatches the baby and walks out?" "She's my baby, she's my everything", said Kristy Woods in a press conference. "She was sent to me for a reason".

Residents were moved to action following Woods' public appeals for help in the search for her "very sweet, loving girl" with blue eyes and long brown hair.

Also, FBI agents searched a landfill. They said no information is too small or insignificant when looking for the missing child.
