SC's Tim Scott to embroiled GOP candidate Roy Moore: 'Move on'

President Donald Trump is again coming to the side of embattled Republican Roy Moore by bashing the Democratic nominee in the hotly contested Alabama Senate race.

Although Trump hasn't flat out endorsed Moore, this is not the first time he has effectively done so by harshly criticizing his opponent.

Prominent Republicans have called on Moore to step aside from the Alabama Senate race to fill Sen. "Forty years is a long time", Trump said, pointing to the amount of time that has passed since the alleged behavior.

"The last thing we need in Alabama and the U.S. Senate is a Schumer/Pelosi puppet who is WEAK on Crime, WEAK on the Border, Bad for our Military and our great Vets, Bad for our 2nd Amendment, AND WANTS TO RAISES TAXES TO THE SKY", Trump tweeted. At least five others have said he pursued romantic relationships when they were teenagers.

"I mean Roy Moore is running with Steve Bannon as his right-hand man, who is a white separatist", Barkley said, referring to Bannon's support among the so-called alt-right movement.

He also pointed out that Moore "totally denies" the accusations against him and that the media "has to listen to him also". The New York Times reports that Trump was annoyed with his daughter, Ivanka, for saying there's a "special place in hell for people who prey on children".

But Graham said when it comes to Moore, it's unclear "what winning looks like".

Despite the multiple allegations against Moore - he reportedly was banned from an Alabama mall for repeatedly bothering teen girls - Trump has defended him.

"Roy Moore was unfit for office before nine Alabama women served as witnesses to all Alabamians of his disturbing conduct", Sebastian Kitchen, Jones' spokesman, wrote in an email.

"Either we're saddled with a Democrat in a seat that ought to be Republican", Jennings said, "or we're saddled with a brand anvil that's going to drag down the president, drag down the Senate, drag down the party and plunge the Senate into immediate turmoil when he gets there".

In an interview on "Fox News Sunday", Thune said Moore's election would put the GOP agenda in jeopardy. But other party leaders have made a different choice.

Trump backed incumbent Sen.

In another tweet, he lamented the defeat of Senator Luther Strange, who Trump endorsed in the September primary vote against Moore. The seat opened up after Republican Jeff Sessions was tapped as US attorney general.
