Buccaneers fall to Falcons 34-20

Julio Jones reminds us all he's not human

Remember Julio Jones' rather quiet season?

The Atlanta Falcons let wide receiver Mohamed Sanu try his hand at quarterback on Sunday, and it appeared to work out.

Jones now has three games in his brilliant career with at least 250 yards receiving.

The throw was nearly perfectly placed, falling right into Jones' hands as he ran into the end zone. You can also point it at second-year safety Ryan Smith, who slipped multiple times attempting to tackle Jones. Fitzpatrick, who had zero touchdowns or interceptions, added two rushes for 20 yards.

Ryan Fitzpatrick completed 27-of-44 passes for 283 yards in the Bucs' 34-20, Week 12 loss to the Falcons. Peyton Barber notched a pair of rushing scores. While Tampa Bay definitely played well in Week 11, they were able to force five total Dolphins turnovers.

Trufant was evaluated for a head injury and Poole suffered a lower back injury. DT Clinton McDonald (back), S T.J. Ward (concussion) and CB Josh Robinson (hamstring) were hurt in the third quarter.

The Atlanta Falcons lost top cornerback Desmond Trufant for the remainder of Sunday's game with a concussion. Two remaining end sections of the Georgia Dome, which was imploded Monday, tower over rumble next door to Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

If Matt Ryan can get Tampa Bay's secondary to bite on the play-action passing game early in the first-half, Julio Jones is going to have a very big day through the air. This loss ignited the Buccaneers last season as afterward they went on a five-game win streak and almost made the playoffs.

Atlanta: The Falcons continue their homestand by hosting Minnesota.
