Sadly, many children are not adopted.

The day marks the end of a long wait for the families and especially the children who, on average, wait three years in foster care before being adopted. National Adoption Day is nothing new for the Masone Family.

There are more than 5-thousand children available for adoption in the US and about 75 of those are right here in Wichita Falls. Since its inception in 2000, National Adoption Day has helped almost 65,000 children across the country move from foster care to forever families.

The five siblings have been with the Andersons for over a year.
