Marco Silva non-committal over Watford future amid Everton interest

"I've spoken to the chairman (Bill Kenwright) every day since I've been in this role".

The Watford manager, who has only been in charge for six months and 12 games, is a target for struggling Everton who are trying to find a replacement for Ronald Koeman.

"For me it is a normal situation, I understand the question". Other people will make the decision on who will be the Everton manager, and I will be absolutely fine with that.

Asked if he had been prevented from speaking about the Toffees, Silva added: "I don't answer this question".

Former Everton defender Richard Dunne said: 'They have had enough time to sort it out.

"I don't want to talk about Everton".

"I look at this situation like when a player performs well, and (another club) tries to approach the owner or club. I really don't know".

"I saw that [Allardyce's comments] and it would surprise me that anyone would rule themselves out of being Everton manager because this is an awesome club with the best fans, as we saw at the last match", said the former Toffees defender.

"It's for the board, the owners to talk to each other about the situation".

Watford have lost their last three matches - and the most recent was at Everton.

Having tasted defeat in his first three games since stepping up from the development squad, the 44-year-old saw his team battle back from 2-0 down to triumph over Watford 3-2 at the start of November.
