Rose McGowan Arrested for Felony Cocaine Warrant

Rose McGowan Surrenders to Cops In Felony Cocaine Case

The actress turned herself in, was arrested, and booked in Virginia before being released on a $5,000 unsecured bond for felony possession of a controlled substance.

The actress was arrested on Tuesday in Virginia after turning herself in to authorities.

McGowan, who posted $5,000 bail after her arrest, is set to be arraigned Thursday.

As previously reported, The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority Police Department spokesperson Rob Yingling confirmed to Us that there was a warrant out for McGowan stemming from an incident in January.

McGowan also said that during the course of her flight, she had left her wallet on the airplane seat unattended, as she went to the bathroom.

McGowan tweeted about the warrant last month, asking, "Are they trying to silence me?"

Rose McGowan, the Harvey Weinstein accuser who is facing a drugs charge, could have had cocaine planted in her luggage, her lawyer has suggested.

Apparently, the warrant was from Loudoun County, Virginia, officials.

The on-screen character revealed to The New Yorker she didn't react to the warrant for a considerable length of time out of dread that she was being trailed by private examiners employed by Harvey Weinstein.

McGowan said she plans on fighting the charges. It was while sitting tight for an auto benefit outside the airplane terminal that she understood her wallet was gone, she said.

With that said, Rose said she had no plans to do cocaine during the Women's March.

McGowan told me that she had brought a slim card wallet with her on her trip to Washington.

According to a previous New Yorker report, Weinstein operatives using false identities met with McGowan in fall 2016 to try to get information from her after she had tweeted about being raped by a studio head, and again in 2017. "Imagining I'm going into sisterly solidarity, I can think of nothing more opposed to that, energetically, that I would want in my body at that moment", McGowan told Farrow.

As indicated by the announcement, the office got a capture warrant for McGowan on February 1 and endeavored to get in touch with her so she could show up in court to react to the charge.

"I will clearly plead not guilty", McGowan said.
