Roy Halladay Plane Crash: Where Did The Phillies Pitcher's Aircraft Go Down?

The sheriff's office marine unit responded to the downed plane and found one body.

He pitched for the Toronto Blue Jays from 1998 to 2009 and played with the Philadelphia Phillies from 2010-2013.

He threw a ideal game on May 29, 2010 against the Marlins. Officials originally said that a plane with a tail number matching Halladay's private aircraft had gone down in the Gulf of Mexico.

ICON Aircraft featured Halladay in an October article about him receiving the first 2018 model of the plane.

Aside from aviation, Halladay helped coach several local youth baseball teams, including Calvary Christian High School's state champion team.

Lately, Halladays Twitter page has been full of videos and images of his ICON A5 plane.

"Many know Roy as a Cy Young victor and future hall of famer but we know Roy as a person, as a caring husband who loved his wife Brandy and loved his two boys".

And now the beloved former Phillie and Blue Jays ace is gone.

On Oct. 6, 2010, Halladay hurled a no-hitter against the Cincinnati Reds in Game 1 of the NLDS.

In heartbreaking footage, Halladay's wife expressed her early trepidation of her husband's passion.

In his first start with the Phils, Halladay allowed just one run in seven innings with nine strikeouts against the Nationals. It was no coincidence why he was the best pitcher of his era.
