Markelle Fultz Out At Least Three Weeks With Shoulder Injury

1 pick Markelle Fultz and Joel Embiid scheduled to be on the court this season, the City of Brotherly Love had many reasons to believe this season could be the beginning of something special. Prior to that visit, Fultz also met with two Major League Baseball team doctors.

Fultz consulted with several shoulder specialists. After Brothers told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski on Wednesday that Fultz received a cortisone shot on October 5, the Sixers announced they would be holding Fultz out for the team's next three games. He will continue to undergo physiotherapy treatment.

The 76ers said Fultz would be re-evaluated in three weeks. Philadelphia 76ers guard and first-overall draft pick Markelle Fultz has been having shoulder problems. Fultz, however, has a scapular muscle imbalance in his right shoulder. He started the regular season as a reserve and averaged 19 minutes, 6.0 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.8 assists over the team's first four games before being sidelined.

Add to that, the visible issue with Fultz's shot. A report by ESPN has just relayed the news that Fultz is out indefinitely with his shoulder injury. With Ben Simmons looking stellar with his early season play, maybe the 76ers can whether this latest injury bug and Fultz could return to provide a spark to the 76er's offense.
