Linkin Park To Play Chester Bennington Tribute Concert Tonight at Hollywood Bowl

The three hour show was called Linkin Park Celebrates Life in Honour of Chester Bennington and was led by Linkin Park's Mike Shinoda.

Bennington and the rest of Linkin Park began the charity Music for Relief following the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami, and the One More Light Fund was established after Bennington's death. The band then returned to play another five songs, before closing the night alongside all the show's guests with a performance of "Bleed It Out".

"I wrote something about eight days later, and I want to share it with you", he told the crowd.

"We don't know where we're going from here, but.we certainly appreciate your support as we get there", Shinoda said before "Bleed It Out".

It will be available to watch live on the band's official Youtube page or on demand until Monday morning.

Linkin Park have paid tribute to Chester. ("They don't even sound like demos", he said). It is time we recognize that mental health is as important as our physical health. "It is my mission to make it easier for people to have access to mental health resources".

Bennington's wife spoke about her late husband at the show, saying he "would have loved all of this".

"Seeing so many fans and artists come together like that to honour his life was special".

Alanis Morrisette, Blink-182, Taka from One Ok Rock and M. Shadows from Avenged Sevenfold also took part alongside video tributes from Paul McCartney, Metallica and Thirty Seconds To Mars.
