Man United's Luke Shaw 'hopes' to play for Mauricio Pochettino again
'He made me feel that I was the best.
Spanish midfielder Herrera was candid in his assessment of United's 2-1 Premier League defeat to newly-promoted Huddersfield, questioning the team's passion and mentality.
The twenty-two year old has been strongly linked with a move away from Old Trafford with his relationship with manager Jose Mourinho reportedly frosty and a potential part-exchange deal with fellow full-back Rose could benefit both clubs.
"No, I don't know if it is Mauricio's words or it is his ghost-writer, I really don't know", Mourinho said of an issue his Tottenham counterpart has also downplayed.
Asked about Luke Shaw's contract situation at his news conference on Friday, Mourinho replied: "I'm anxious about Fellaini and not about Luke Shaw, because Fellaini finishes his contract and Luke Shaw doesn't".
"Every time over the last months when we are going to compete and play, [people say] that game will be... against Liverpool, Real Madrid and now in Manchester", he added.
Asked if Huddersfield was an aberration, he said: "You know, to play bad and lose matches I think that can happen again".
Sherwood, who was in charge of Tottenham Hotspur before Pochettino took over in 2014, believes that the Argentine - as well as Manchester City boss Guardiola - is better equipped to get the best out of players compared to Mourinho at Manchester United.
22-year-old Shaw arrived at United from Southampton for a hefty £30 million fee in 2014, with many viewing the talented youngster as the natural heir to Patrice Evra at the club.
'Maybe it is to try to sell books, maybe his ghostwriter wants to make some money'.
"Luke Shaw was just honest".
Jose Mourinho has lost faith in Luke Shaw at Manchester United and has already started to sound out other potential left-back options, according to reports.
