WhatsApp Group Voice Call and Video Call feature launching soon

A line of code was discovered which suggested that if a user makes a voice call to someone on WhatsApp the app will send a request to the server whether the person is busy or not

GROUP VOICE CALLS will be one of the next features! Apple iOS 11 users are facing a ton of problems with the WhatsApp, latest being the delay in pushing the notification on the home screen.

Now, according to a report, WhatsApp is planning to introduce audio and video group calling very soon.

"The v2.17.70 iOS update has very hidden references to group calls!" At this time, there's no information on the maximum number of people allowed in a single group video or voice call. For example, if you are on a call with your friend, you can add another friend into the call simply by pressing the add button and group call including the 3 of you will be created.

An image recently released by WhatsApp suggests the next update could also come with group video calling, the site claims.

The recent update from WhatsApp has some hidden, upcoming features, which includes group voice calls.

WeBetaInfo further tweeted that WhatsApp 2.17.70 sends a request to the server to ask if the user you are calling is in another group call.

You can download the latest version of WhatsApp version 2.17.70 beta from APK Mirror but we are not sure it has the WhatsApp Group Voice Calling feature.

In a written statement, a spokesman for WhatsApp said: 'Today, we're rolling out a new feature that allows you to share your location in real-time with family or friends.

WhatsApp has also announced advanced features for improved group management, including a tool that will prevent the group creator to be deleted from the group by other administrators. The WhatsApp group administrators will be able to choose those members of the group who can carry out actions such as changing the subject, opinion or status of the group.

According to a tweet by WABetaInfo, the Facebook-owned messaging app might roll out the feature in its next beta update. However, they might not appear before the end of the year, as the features still require "a lot of development" and WhatsApp "has other priorities" - including an "unsend" feature, which will let you recall messages you've sent within a 5 minute window. This feature will work every time you are change your phone number.
