'As of October 29, some of our flight numbers in our network will change and our AY666 flight from Copenhagen to Helsinki will change to AY954.

But the airline is changing some of its flight numbers meaning this is the last time flight FY666 will depart on the "unlucky" day. Finnair has scheduled the eerie trip to HEL (Helsinki) 21 times on a Friday 13 over the last 11 years. In 11 years, flight 666 flight to HEL has flown on Friday the 13th a total of 21 times, all without incident.

HEL of course, is the airport code for Helsinki, Finland, and Finnair's Flight AY666 took off from Copenhagen, Denmark, in the 13th hour of Friday the 13th, bound for Vantaa airport in Finland's capital city.

"Farewell to Finnair AY666", wrote the airline, "but remember, we still have a flight from SIN to HEL".

"It has been a joke among the pilots", Juha-Pekka Keidasto, a veteran pilot for the airline, told the Telegraph.

Triskaidekaphobia is the fear of the number 13, which dates back to the late 1800s. "It's only a coincidence for me", he added. If you're scared of the number 666, you may have hexakosioihexekontahexaphobia. It will still keep on flying with this route number 15 more times, but just not on Friday the 13th. And obviously, there's the entire Friday the 13th movie franchise that is the most notable.
