LaMelo Ball, who's slated to play at UCLA in a few years, will no longer be at Chino Hills High School because his father is pulling him from school to home-school him for the next two years, according to the LA Times.
It is defeintely going to be an interesting two years before LaMelo gets to UCLA, if in fact he does make it.
When asked about LaMelo potentially being ineligible, LaVar basically said he didn't care. I am disappointed it couldn't have worked better for LaMelo and the players. After his second preseason game, Lonzo's continuous development was overwhelming but Luke Walton, the Lakers' coach, still wants him to show more aggressiveness and selfishness. "Less distractions. He just needs to focus".
LaVar was widely accused of getting the previous Chino Hills head coach fired and removing his (very) talented son from the proceedings now won't be doing Latimore any favors.
LaMelo Ball is now ranked as the seventh-best player of his Class of 2019, the No. 1 player in the state and the second-best available player in the nation at his position - rankings which could quickly change if he is not enrolled to showcase his skill by the start of the season.
The patriarch of Big Baller Brand announced that five-star recruit LaMelo Ball is being pulled from his high school, Chino Hills. "He said, 'all those 50 shots a game, that's going to stop.' So I'm like, 'Wow, '" LaVar said. Still, this is freakish even by LaVar's standards, as the high school season has not yet begun and he is seemingly evaluating Latimore on distant information as a result.
LaMelo Ball is now committed to the 2019 UCLA recruiting class and according to LaVar Ball, he is "on track for UCLA".
