"There is no doubt he is going to Florida", Simpson's Attorney Malcom LaVergne said. She watched Simpson sign paperwork shortly before being freed.
The prison released video on social media of Simpson being freed, as he walked out of the facility in a ball cap, denim jacket, jeans and white tennis shoes.
Simpson was dressed in blue jeans, a jean jacket, white tennis shoes, and a baseball hat.
The footage then showed a night-time scene of a darkened street apparently outside the prison.
The former National Football League star left prison shortly after midnight local time, and was picked up by an unidentified friend, according to Brooke Keast, a spokeswoman for the Nevada Department of Corrections.
"He's going to focus on kids, friends, his family and golf", Scotto said.
That's the same prison where Keast says Simpson was released at 12:08 a.m. PDT Sunday.
Should Simpson be allowed to come back, Bondi asked that he wear an electronic monitoring bracelet, report to his parole officer in person and not by mail, be regularly tested for alcohol and drugs, and have his travel "substantially restricted".
There has been no information as to where he was headed.
Malcolm LaVergne, his attorney, said he wouldn't confirm his client's location as of Saturday. He was sentenced to 33 years but he was granted parole this past July for good behavior.
"We needed to do this to ensure public safety and to avoid any possible incident", Keast said.
The former American football star and Hollywood actor had been in prison after being convicted of armed robbery, assault with a deadly weapon among a number of charges, following a botched heist as he attempted to receive sporting memorabilia.
He is out on parole, with supervision for another five years.
A message from Rep. Jared Polis's (D-Colo.) Twitter account warned people to "watch out" for their children after O.J. Simpson's release from prison early Sunday.
Winston added that if Simpson is ultimately allowed to live in Florida upon his release, Bondi asked for him to be supervised closely with an electronic monitoring bracelet and to be tested for drugs regularly, among other conditions. In October 1995, he was acquitted in the double-murder of his former wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman, 16 months after he was first charged.
Ryan Gosling is once more awful at keeping a straight face
It wasn't that amusing but Ryan Gosling having the inability to keep a straight face is charming and more than makes up for it. Gosling also played a gangster in love with a chicken (Bryant) - he cracked up when they had problems with a prop gun.
Cubs superfan Bill Murray could land his dream role
The key is for the Cubs to gain confidence in Arrieta's hamstring while not pushing him too hard in a simulated game. Maddon was equal parts honored and humored by the potential of Murray playing him on the big screen.
