Not holding back.Jimmy Kimmel has condemned the GOP's latest efforts to repeal and replace Obamacare again, specifically taking jabs at President Donald Trump and Louisiana Senator Bill Cassidy, who introduced the Graham-Cassidy health care bill. "I have assured Senator McCain that as soon as repeal is off the table, we Democrats are intent on resuming the bipartisan process".

In his statement, Arizona's senior senator brings up several unanswered questions as a reason for his decision, such as how much it will cost and how it will affect premiums. Republican Senator Susan Collins of ME has said she was leaning against the Graham-Cassidy bill, as has Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky.

All 48 Senate Democrats are expected to vote against the bill, and "no" votes by McCain and Paul would result in a 50-50 tie that would be broken by Vice President Mike Pence to push the bill over the top.

There are already two Republican senators on record opposing the bill from GOP Sens.

The latest legislation is being co-sponsored by McCain's close friend, Sen. "I'm excited about solutions we have found in Graham-Cassidy-Heller-Johnson".

"There is a lot of pressure, but I've had a lot of pressure on a lot of different issues over the years", Collins said Friday according to the Press Herald. "They're against it. We haven't seen this many people come forward to speak out against a bill since Cosby". Bill Cassidy. The senator appeared on Kimmel's show last May and promised to oppose any bill that fails to protect those with preexisting conditions, who are now protected from being denied coverage or charged more under Obamacare.

Yet Republican congressional leaders, goaded by GOP voters and the president himself, were determined to give it one last try.

McConnell has been trying to schedule a vote on the bill by September 30, the last day on which the bill could pass with only a simple majority of 51 votes in the Senate. Republicans have until September 30 to pass a health care bill with a simple majority. On the other side of the aisle, Topher Spiro of the Center for American Progress tweeted: "JOHN MCCAIN, AMERICAN HERO". After that, protections that keep the bill from being filibustered and make it require just a majority vote will run out.

Trump tweeted Friday morning that "Rand Paul, or whoever votes against Hcare Bill, will forever ( future political campaigns) be known as 'the Republican who saved ObamaCare'". Lindsey Graham of SC and Bill Cassidy of Louisiana. "But that has not been the case", he said.

"I know Rand Paul and I think he may find a way to get there for the good of the Party!" Brookings used the CBO's prior assessment of the impact of repealing Obamacare as the basis for its post-2026 estimate: Swapping Obamacare for Graham-Cassidy would leave 32 million more people without insurance.
