Manchester Utd thrash Everton, Chelsea and Arsenal draw

Conte must be ready to ditch one of last season's champions

"I think we needed that, after Liverpool", Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey said.

Arguably they should at least have got on the scoreboard but their record signing Alexandre Lacazette missed an open goal in the first-half.

Wenger's Chelsea counterpart Antonio Conte refused to make a direct comment about Luiz's sending off but queried how his side had the habit of never ending with a full complement of players against Arsenal.

And David Luiz saw red for a high challenge on Sead Kolasinac with three minutes remaining, marking the third straight match Chelsea have had a player sent off against Arsenal and rounding off a poor performance from Antonio Conte's men. It was excessive force.

"We have great respect for officials, but it is unusual to finish a third game in a row against Arsenal with 10 men".

Eden Hazard started on the bench after Conte said in midweek that the Belgian was "very, very close to 100% fitness". "Sometimes the opponent deserves a red card and instead they continue to play with 11 men". For sure, it's unusual, no.

"Last season I said during many press conferences about N'Golo that he could improve a lot with the ball", the Italian told reporters. "You need to see what happened before the tackle". I think Kolasinac was not completely on his feet.

The game was stopped for a short period of time that day following the goal whilst Bellerin received treatment, and the post definitely hit a nerve with Arsenal fans ahead of the crunch clash at Stamford Bridge.

"Sometimes you forget Arsenal is one of the top six teams in England [they are] a strong team, a really good team".

Danny Welbeck is facing yet another lengthy absence from the Arsenal team after limping off in the 73rd minute of their goalless draw against Chelsea with a suspected groin tear.
