Body discovered in Wayne County believed to be missing Temple University student

Jenna Burleigh was found dead Saturday after vanishing from a bar near Temple University the previous day

The 22-year-old was last seen on surveillance footage leaving the bar and walking with Hupperterz to his apartment.

The autopsy will be handled by the Wayne County Coroner's office.

The police found blood, large amounts of drugs and cash when they searched the North Philadelphia home of a man questioned in the disappearance of a Temple University student last seen near the campus, according to a report.

Temple is offering on-campus counseling 8:30 a.m.to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, at Tuttleman Counseling Services.

The lakefront home where Burleigh was found belongs to Hupperterz's grandmother.

Hupperterz was taken into custody Friday in Paupack Township and a body believed to be Burleigh's was found Saturday on township property belonging to his grandmother.

Police say Joshua Hupperterz, 29, admitted to 'elements of the crime, ' as indicated by the New York Daily News. He was also charged with abuse of a corpse, tampering with evidence, and possession of an instrument of crime. Apparently, she was likely killed in Philadelphia, then transported to Hupperterz's mother and stepfather's home in Jenkintown, then moved again to a home in Paupack Township.

Abulhawa, a Temple junior and soccer player from Yardley, said she never spoke to Hupperterz for more than five or 10 minutes at a time.

Police also said they believed Hupperterz, a former Temple student, and Burleigh did not have a prior relationship and her death did not appear to be premeditated.

State police at Honesdale assisted Philadelphia police and the FBI with the current investigation. VIDEO: Police search home in Jenkintown, Pa. The 22-year-old student who was majoring in film and arts had transferred to temple this week.

Burleigh's father reacted to the news of her death on his Facebook page Saturday afternoon. "Now I know for sure that you can have a "broken heart" RIP honey".

Police released pictures of Burleigh (seen below), who's from Lower Salford in Montgomery County.

Anyone with information should contact Temple Police at 215-204-1234.

Jenna was dropped off at a residence by her father, but after he didn't hear from Burleigh for an unusually long period of time, and learned she hadn't attended her Temple University classes, he alerted authorities. Temple's confidential tip line can be reached at 215-204-6493.
