The Ravishing Russian declares that Tamina's path of destruction to the Smack Down Women's Championship begins next week

Brooklyn is in the rear view mirror and the next Smackdown PPV isn't until October.

Main event time, and with the numbers evened out it looked like the night would belong to Randy Orton and Shinsuke Nakamura. He was interrupted by Shinsuke Nakamura, which brought out Rusev and Randy Orton. Viktor now works over Gable, again, keeping him grounded. He shoves the Singhs aside and then everyone brawls. That was once again obvious Tuesday night when Mahal cut his typical promo and flubbed some spots in the ring.

Can we please just call them American Alpha? The Ascension (Konnor & Viktor): Gabel has new music. Konnor pulled down the top rope, which sent Gable flying over the top rope. He blames Cena for costing him MITB, and then ran away to Raw. Out came SmackDown commissioner Shane McMahon to counter Owens' claims and ensure English's match went on as planned. Baron Corbin made it clear he was looking for a title match last week - will he challenge Styles? Tye asked the ref to ring the bell for the match.

They took turns working over Orton as Nakamura recovered on the ring apron.

Dillinger comes out throwing fists, but AJ is able to fight back. Styles caught him with a forearm shot. However, Styles was able to make a strong comeback and defeat Dillinger with the Calf Crusher for the submission victory. Post-match, Corbin threw Dillinger into the barricade and went after Styles who knocked him out of the ring.

Jinder tries to fire up Rusev by playing the nation card.

Wow, Mike and Maria sure have fallen, haven't they?

They lock up and Kanellis knocked him down.

Fashion Files, Back 2 Basics: Nothing specifically entertaining about this one. Roode fought out of a headlock and connected with some clotheslines. Roode covers and gets the win.

We saw Aiden English signing in the ring. A match decision that Smackdown LIVE boss Shane McMahon would eventually overrule of course.

Seeds continue to be planted for an Owens-McMahon bout. and the next SmackDown-branded pay-per-view just so happens to be Hell in a Cell on October 8.

Shane has heard enough and makes his way out to the ring. There aren't many "free" faces on the blue brand for him to take on, but I have a feeling that Sami Zayn may be used in his role as sacrificial lamb as Roode's first feud.

Owens is at commentary, but he is so upset he can't contribute. English attacked Zayn from behind. Owens immediately hits Sami Zayn with the Pop-up Powerbomb and counts to three very quickly to hand the win to English on a silver platter. Dolph Ziggler, who has been off TV for a few weeks, promises to make an impact tonight with a new gimmick. Ellsworth wanted to know if she got his flowers.

Dolph Ziggler has not been seen much in WWE recently but he has promised that's about to change. After the commercials, Jimmy hits Big E with a drop kick in the corner.

James Ellsworth grabs the mic from Dasha and tells her to beat it. Carmella is not happy with James, as he blabbed her plans last week. Naomi walked up and told Natalya that in two weeks, they will have a title match on SmackDown Live.

Lana introduces Tamina to the ring.

SQUASH MATCH! Tamina took down local Arkansas talent so quickly, that the plucky challenger never even had time for her name to be remembered. In fact, it's starting right now. Rusev got involved to take out Orton, leading to this main event tag team match. Mahal runs into to break the hold. He said that no one understands what it's like to be him.

Before Shinsuke Nakamura battles Randy Orton next week, they both face their SummerSlam opponents. Orton hit the RKO on Nakamura as he celebrated after the match, the only storyline development for next week's main event.
