Bill Nye Is Suing The Walt Disney Co

Bill Nye the Science Guy Disney Screwed Me With Bad Cash Formula!!

But in 2008, Nye got suspicious after getting a check for the year prior and then, months later, being asked to return most of that money due to a mistake the company made in a calculation.

The industry website reported that Bill Nye the Science Guy ran on PBS from 1994 to 1999 and also was syndicated to local stations.

Bill Nye, the Science Guy, participates in AOL's BUILD Speaker Series to discuss his new book, "Unstoppable: Harnessing Science To Change The World", at AOL Studios on Thursday, Dec. 17, 2015, in NY. It was nominated for 23 Emmy Awards and won 19. It has now been two decades since the show ended and the continued popularity speaks to the success of the show. As a child of the nineties, it's been kind of weird to see Bill Nye transform from "beloved scientist for kids" to "political activist who kinda swears a lot". In a report by CNN, it was reported that Nye is allegedly owed a gross amount of $9 million for his work on the show.

In the complaint filed Thursday in Los Angeles Superior Court, Nye claims that Disney's Buena Vista Television engaged in questionable Hollywood accounting over the series "Bill Nye, the Science Guy", and has failed to cooperate with Nye's numerous attempts to audit the earnings of the show.

However, it has recently become suspected that he has not been paid this amount.

Nye hired an accountant and filed suit after Disney demanded that he repay a large portion of his 2007 earnings. After four years, the suit says, Nye was forced to hire an auditor-and he did in 2013.

The inquiry into Disney's accounts has been delayed for years as the company claimed that Bill Nye has not presented the proper paperwork to look into the company's accounts.

Although Disney was behind Nye's incredibly successful show, it appears that the House of Mouse may have been less than honest with Nye - and he's coming to collect.
