Hellboy, Raiden, and Black Manta Join the Injustice 2 Roster

Hellboy, Black Manta and Raiden join Injustice 2 in upcoming Fighter Pack 2

During the Fight to Death showdown, NetherRealm Studio revealed Black Manta, Raiden and Hellboy as the next three DLC characters contained in the Fighter Pack 2.

Not only did we get confirmation that Black Manta would be joining the party, but Mortal Kombat legend Raiden will also be charging things up, and - surprise! The fighting game pits some of DC's most famous characters against each other in a new story that sees Brainiac mount an assault on Earth.

Fighter Pack 1 characters were Red Hood, Sub-Zero and Starfire which were released in June, July and August, respectively. Aside from that, the character has already received the hype it deserves; prolonging even just the gameplay will make fans lose interest. Hellboy, created by Mike Mignola in the early '90s, crossed over into the DC Universe previously in the Batman/Hellboy/Starman mini-series.

Injustice 2 now stands as one of, if not the best fighters to release this year, and it is continuing its stranglehold on the competition by releasing more and more new fighters. You can catch a glimpse of all three characters in the teaser trailer above. As for Black Manta, it'll be interesting to see how his moveset is. But we could be waiting several more months before an announcement is made.

Warner Bros. Interactive has done a nice job of consistently updating Injustice 2 with new brand-new characters.

Fighter Pack 2 goes on sale on the 12th September with the first character being available immediately after.
