Mewtwo Is The Latest Legendary Pokemon Added To 'Pokemon GO'

The Pikachu Carnival parade

If you play your cards right, soon you could find yourself in possession of five different Legendary Pokemon, including Mewtwo. One player who attended the Pokemon GO event in Japan has already caught a maxed out Mewtwo with a flawless move set, likely the first in the world. It seems like that was the case, as at the event Pokemon GO players were able to battle Mewtwo, the latest Legendary Pokemon introduced into the world of the game.

Trainers are invited to Exclusive Raid Battles if they participated in a Raid Battle recently at that particular Gym.

Pokemon Go's Niantic is delivering on a promise they made long before the game was actually a reality.

Adding Mewtwo to the game is a pretty big deal for fans as the Pokemon was featured in the first trailer for Pokemon Go back in 2015.

Almost two years ago, The Pokemon Company shared the first trailer for Pokemon Go on YouTube.

Pokemon GO trainers have said this week that they're super mad! Invitations will include the time and place where the Exclusive Raid Battle will occur. For now, players can get their hands on Mewtwo through such events.

Once you've got an invite, things should be a bit more straightforward - Niantic says it'll warn you in advance when your Mewtwo chance is coming up, so you'll have "ample time to coordinate" with friends and other players in order to take it down. Nonetheless, Niantic has extended the appearance of four Legendaries in the hopes of encouraging more players to set out and capture them.

Furthermore, raids with the legendary birds, Articuno, Lugia, Zapdos and Moltres will open up until August 31, allowing you extra time to catch these for yourself.
