Paul Pogba: "I have come back as a man" to United

Mourinho must be licking his lips as Paul Pogba finally played like a £90m player

Now I'm happy to be back. "We're in a lot of competitions, the more trophies the better".

Paul Pogba scored in the 4-0 trouncing of West Ham United on Sunday, and he was one of the many heroes for the Red Devils.

"I didn't really watch him [Matic] much last season but you can see what he can bring to the team".

United could only win three trophies last season, winning the League Cup, Europa League and the community shield.

Last season Pogba was often caught between defending and attacking, but against West Ham on Sunday he looked like he had more freedom with new-boy Nemanja Matic behind him.

"My dream was to play for this club and when I finished [in 2012], I always felt like I had missed something at Manchester United because I wasn't a first XI player".

"Matic was a key player and Romelu Lukaku scored two goals, so it's what we wanted and what we expect".

"I think (Matic) playing behind in defensive midfield allows (Pogba) to have the freedom to go on and play and make things happen and not worry about defending when we lose the ball".

United could only finish sixth on the table last season and Pogba intends to better that with a PL trophy this season.

Manager Jose Mourinho has recently stated that the current crop of players are United are the best, personally, that he's worked with. When you know the team more, you know how to play alongside them. "We've started well but have to carry on like this".

With strikers Lukaku and Marcus Rashford stretching play with their runs and Pogba making the most of the space behind, United was so much more unsafe.

Pogba and Lingard were at Old Trafford on Tuesday for the unveiling of a mural created by graffiti artist Alec Monopoly, whose depiction of scenes around the stadium was added to by some of the club's players.

"I am a huge football fan and above all a fan of Manchester United".

However, after more spending in this off-season, Pogba is looking to lead United in a title charge against champions Chelsea and rivals Manchester City.
