Ezekiel Elliott Suspended 6 Games for Violating NFL's Personal Conduct Policy

Dallas Cowboys rumors ezekiel elliott wont be suspended for week 1

Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott released a statement late Friday night regarding his recent six-game suspension for violation of the NFL's personal-conduct policy.

Elliott is expected to appeal the suspension.

Elliott is expected to appeal the NFL's ruling, but he is likely to be unavailable on September 17 in Denver even if his suspension is reduced. The team was running its own investigation out of this proper legal system, along with the National Football League world was waiting with bated breath to its judgment. "Several witnesses, according to sources close to the case, heard the woman yell at Elliott that she would "ruin his career" when she was unhappy that they would not continue their relationship". The policy gave Commissioner Roger Goodell authority to suspend players for at least six games in domestic cases, with or without a conviction.

If Elliott serves the entire suspension, he will be eligible to return to the team October 29, when the Cowboys travel to play the Redskins.

"What I don't want to do is hurt things", Jones said on August 4, via the Cowboys' website.

There were even reports past year that the girl vowed to ruin Elliott if he ever broke up with her and that he indeed broke up with her.

Elliott, who led the league in rushing yards last season (1,631) in his rookie year, was defended by Cowboys owner Jerry Jones throughout the investigation.

Elliott's lawyers said "a slew of additional credible and controverting evidence will come to light" during the appeals process.

ESPN's Adam Schefter first reported the six game suspension being given to Elliott. "The league also consulted with medical experts. League investigators examined all available evidence, including photographic and digital evidence, thousands of text messages and other records of electronic communications", the NFL said.

The Dallas Cowboys running back had been under investigation by the league for over a year with regards to accusations from an ex-partner that he abused her five times between July 17 and July 22 of 2016. And last month, he allegedly punched a DJ in the face at a bar in Dallas. He also had 32 catches for 363 yards and one touchdown.
