Nintendo app download (Nintendo switch online app) Hit the App Store

New Nintendo Switch stock including Splatoon 2 has gone live

A Nintendo account is also required to use the app.

Good news if you are into gaming because the Nintendo Switch Online app is now available for download.

It's worth pointing out that some people have had a little difficulty in downloading and signing into the app at this time, as Nintendo appears to still be in the process of bringing the servers online. The application will have a bunch of features meant to enhance your Switch gaming experience, but you'll still have to wait for majority. These modes were all introduced over time with the original Splatoon, so I'd expect to see this roster get expanded in a big way over the next 12 months via DLC.

The app is compatible with both iOS and Android.

You can download it from the respective app stores although the servers and, therefore, features are now unavailable.

Still though, this is Nintendo we're talking about-a company known to surprise-so I was willing to give its new smartphone voice chat app the benefit of the doubt. It's clear that the app has gone live before that date. Access and use of the service shall remain #Free Of Charge for the remaining months of the current year.

For starters, the app is free to use for now, but come 2018, it'll require a subscription fee (the fee also includes online play).

Splatoon 2 features better graphics than its predecessor, in addition to several improvements. The core of the game is identical: a four-on-four competitive multiplayer shooter that plays like a cross between Call of Duty, paintball, and Tony Hawk's Pro Skater graffiti mode. The goody comes wrapped in a cheery exterior resembling a bubble-gum that conceals peculiar but wonderful lore underneath.

Do you play Splatoon 2? It's free to use until Nintendo kicks off its paid networking services later this year. Nintendo says that users should be able voice chat with everyone in the same room, or they could simply split voice chat into teams.

What does the Switch Online app actually do?
