You can check out all their magical looks in the trailer above.

A Wrinkle in Time, an adaptation of Madeliene L'Engle's 1963 science fiction classic and longtime young-adult favorite, has been in development from Disney since at least 2014.

DuVernay introduced the trailer alongside Disney production chief Sean Bailey and the entire principal cast of the film - Winfrey, Kaling, Witherspoon, Chris Pine, and newcomer Storm Reid.

For the fifth-grader version of me who first traveled through time via this book, there couldn't have been anything more exhilarating or terrifying than being transported through some sort of wormhole to odd galaxies and alien planets ranging from Uriel's realm of benevolent centaurs to the mind-control hell of Camazotz.

Mindy Kaling, Reese Witherspoon and Oprah Winfrey will portray the women that guide Meg through the dimensions of the universe as she goes on her epic quest to find her father.

The teaser trailer was dropped at Disney's D23 expo this weekend.

In addition to the trailer, new stills were released earlier this week showcasing the film's characters.

There may be A Wrinkle in Time, but this flick is looking absolutely seamless.

"I saw myself in it", DuVernay says of the project.

Oprah Winfrey as Mrs. The panel was to hype upcoming live action releases from Disney, Marvel, and Lucasfilm, and A Wrinkle in Time got one of the biggest ovations of the afternoon.
