On the way to the final "Aegon InternationalEastbourne" Djokovic has not lost a set, the Serb consistently passed Waseca Pospisil (6:4, 6:3), Donald young (6:2, 7:6) and Daniel Medvedev (6:4, 6:4).
But the top seed, who is yet to drop a set in Eastbourne, is one more win away from his first grass-court title since winning Wimbledon in 2015.
That's the question for Novak Djokovic, who eased past a watered-down field during a rainy week in Eastbourne to win his first title since January, and his first ever title on grass outside of his three Wimbledons.
Despite his renowned retrieval skills, Monfils was unable to impose his return game as Djokovic made 87 per cent of his first serves during the opening set.
Djokovic, who lifted his 68th career title and his first grasscourt title outside Wimbledon, now heads for the Grand Slam in good heart as he seeks a fourth title there, where he will enjoy having 33-year-old Ancic in his coaching corner.

Second seed Gael Monfils beat British wild card Cameron Norrie 6-3 6-2 to reach the quarter-finals and then secured his place in the last four with a 7-6 (4) 6-0 victory over Australian Bernard Tomic.
Monfils saved three break points to prevent going 5-2 down, but was a set behind when Djokovic drilled a backhand just inside the baseline which the No.2 seed skewed well wide.
"When I was winning constantly and being dominant in the tennis world, you're happy, you feel like everything is kind of revolving around tennis", Djokovic told reporters at Wimbledon on Sunday.
"It hasn't been the case for me in the last 12 months to win many big tournaments". Obviously it feels right, looking back on the decision-making process and whether or not I should come here.
"I like to play the week before a Grand Slam and get matches in", she said.
"Coming into Wimbledon, I'm hoping that I can continue in this path of raising the performance and the quality of tennis".
